| The LAW OFFICES of RICHARD T. TOSAW AND THE BUREAU OF MISSING HEIRS |
| Richard Thomas Tosaw was born March 13, 1925 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He grew up in Omaha and during World War II was a Signalman in the U.S. Coast Guard, convoying up in the Aleutian Islands. With the GI Bill, he went to Nebraska and Creighton Universities and in 1950 graduated from The Denver university College of Law. With His Law degree, he was appointed Special Agent in J. Edgar Hoover's FBI serving in the Seattle and San Francisco offices. After his appointment as a prosecutor in the District Attorney's office in Modesto, California, he went into the private practice of law continuing to this date, although restricted to unclaimed probate estates. He was the author of five bills that passed the legislature and signed by the Governor making it easier for heirs and named beneficiaries to claim their inheritances. When not finding heirs, one of his hobbies is searching for the infamous D. B. Cooper, who in 1971 parachuted from the back of a Boeing 727 with $200,000 tied around his waist. His book" D.B. Cooper-Dead or Alive" still sells as a collectors' item on Amazon.com. We have been successful in solving over 2,500 cases, making a lot of people very happy over the years. We are proud of our accomplishments and reputation. We have a perfect record with the California Better Business Bureau and I was recently honored by the California State Bar with a certificate signed by the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court on my fifty years of practice in California. In unknown heirs cases, sometimes the estate has already been claimed so we never know if some other person has already filed. We work strictly on a commission basis which means if we get you nothing, it will cost you nothing. Following, there are two lists-one showing alphabetically, the names of persons who died in California with no heirs to claim the probate estate. The other list sets forth alphabetically the names of persons who were named by the Probate Court to Receive money, but their whereabouts were and remain unknown. Take a look at both lists, it won't cost you anything, and you might be surprised! |
